Description
The Gen1-3 Incognito Auto Sear is a stainless steel component designed for Glock 17, 19, and 26 models. It’s for the experienced builder who understands the legal framework and wants a durable, low-profile auto sear. The key here is its completely internal installation—once fitted, it’s invisible from the outside.
Key Features
- Stainless Steel Construction: Machined from 416 stainless, it’s built to handle the heat and stress of sustained fire. I’ve seen firsthand how softer metals can deform; this one holds its geometry.
- Invisible Installation: The entire assembly sits inside the rear rail cavity. There are no external pins or modifications, keeping the pistol’s factory appearance intact.
- Gen1-3 Glock Compatibility: Specifically engineered for the 9mm Gen 1-3 Glock 17, 19, and 26 platforms. It will not fit Gen4 or Gen5 models due to internal frame changes.
- Precision Machined: Tolerances are tight. In my shop, a proper install requires careful fitting of the included 3mm pin to ensure reliable function.

Honest Assessment
Pros: The material quality is excellent. The invisible design is its main advantage, preserving the stock look of your Glock. When installed correctly, it provides a consistent sear engagement point.
Cons: This is not a drop-in part. Installation requires precise drilling and permanent modification to your frame’s rear rail—a job for a skilled gunsmith. Secondly, after decades of testing similar components, I can say reliability is entirely dependent on a perfect install; even a slight misalignment can cause failures.
Who Should Buy This
This is strictly for licensed manufacturers, SOT holders, or individuals building a registered machine gun on a Form 1 or Form 2 within full compliance of the National Firearms Act (NFA). It is a component for a legally registered machine gun conversion. It is not for casual tinkerers.
FAQ
Is this a drop-in part for my Glock?
No. It is not. Installation requires permanent modification to your Glock frame, including drilling a 3mm hole in the rear rail block. This is a gunsmithing task.
Will this work in a Gen 4 or Gen 5 Glock?
No. The internal geometry of Gen 4 and Gen 5 frames is different. This sear is only compatible with Gen 1, 2, and 3 models of the Glock 17, 19, and 26.
What is required for a legal installation?
The host firearm must already be registered as a machine gun with the ATF under the NFA, or you must possess the appropriate manufacturer’s license (FFL/SOT) before any installation is performed. This part by itself does not constitute a machine gun.
